Running Mac OS X on VirtualBox under Ubuntu/Linux
Note: By no means I support piracy. This was just a fun experiment to see what the OSX is about.
I’ve always heard from people saying Mac OS X gave them the best in software and stability. “Photoshop flies on Mac OSX”, “It never got infected by a virus”, “I’ve been using this machine for 2 months without shutting it down”, etc., praising how wonderful it is.
Then I read on Lifehacker about running Mac OS X under Windows using VirtualBox, and decided to give it a shot. I’m using Ubuntu as my primary OS in a Samsung R440 notebook and installed VirtualBox from the repositories.
I just followed the steps provided by the tutorial and here’s the result:
